Arrival in KwaZulu - Natal

Day 1: June 3rd, 2025

  • Afternoon: Arrive at King Shaka International Airport. Pickup and transfer to Rhino River Lodge in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve.
  • Evening: Welcome drinks and introductions.
  • Dinner: Group dinner in the lodge’s dining room.
Exploration and Wildlife Viewing

Day 2: June 4th, 2025

  • Morning: Game drive – start the day with a safari to see lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.
  • Late Morning: Breakfast at the lodge.
  • Late Morning: Guided bush walk focusing on local flora and fauna.
  • Lunch: At the lodge.
  • Afternoon: Visit a rhino orphanage
  • Evening: Sunset game drive.
  • Dinner: Group dinner with discussions about wildlife conservation efforts in the region.
Conservation and Adventure

Day 3: June 5th, 2025

  • Morning: Early morning game drive.
  • Late Morning: Breakfast at the lodge.

  • Morning: Game drive with special focus on rhinoceros conservation.

  • Late Morning: Anti-poaching educational session/working dog presentation with GCF K9’s.

  • Afternoon: Bush walk with a focus on tracking pangolin with GCF K9’s.
  • Evening: Sunset game drive.
  • Dinner: Group dinner with storytelling around the campfire.
Community and Culture

  • Late Morning: Visit with the anti-poaching unit (APU).

The Global Conservation Force Team will do its absolute best to make sure you are able to participate in this category. In the event the duration of the trip does not successfully overlap with the goals of the trip, the funds raised will be utilized to accomplish the goal of a necessary wildlife veterinary or game (wildlife) management detail such as wildlife gps collars, relocations, and treatments.

Activities and itinerary are subject to change due to the potential of unforeseen weather events. If deemed unsafe, changes to itinerary will be made and in the worst case canceled.
